O Professor Martin Ross da Universidade de Viena em Linz estará ministrando a conferencia Imagens e Conceitos de Tempo na EBA UFMG à convite do Programa de Pos Graduação. A conferencia será na sala 2007, na terça feira dia 18 de novembro, das 9 às 11 horas e será em inglês. A sala possui 23 lugares e serão priorizados os alunos da disciplina Pedagogia da Memória.

Pictures and the concept of time
Since the invention of photography the Phenomenon of Time gradually was introduced into different philosophical considerations. Although time dominates our everyday life and experience it usually is regarded as something abstract. The lecture will introduce the different forms of the appearance of time in philosophy and in the arts and will concentrate on the discussion of selected works of art (photographs, movies, paintings) that show the different appearances of time: the Moment, the Linear Time, the Circular Time, the “Durée”. So the objectives of this course are: to learn about the importance of time in philosophy and all kinds of arts; to gain sensitivity about the meaning of this fundamental phenomenon.

No dia 19 de novembro o Professor Ross estará reunido com pesquisadores do LINHA no Gabinete 4 para apreciação dos portfólios do Grupo.
